Valley Line Southeast Achieves Significant Ridership Milestone

The Valley Line Southeast LRT reached a major milestone in 2025, surpassing three million riders for the year. This marks an increase from 2024, when 2.76 million people rode the Valley Line — an impressive 11 per cent jump in annual ridership.

The 13-kilometre Valley Line Southeast has been in operation since November 2023. This low-floor urban-style LRT has smaller-scale stops spaced closer together and integrated into communities.

The low-floor Alstom rail cars are made with accessibility in mind, providing step-free boarding, as well as dedicated space for wheelchair users and cyclists. Most stops are street-level and are accessible by ramps.

As the operator of Valley Line Southeast LRT, TransEd O&M Partners is proud to deliver safe and reliable public transportation, connecting Mill Woods to downtown Edmonton.
