Whitemud Westbound Offramp and Eastbound Onramp Lane Closure at 75th Street

UPDATE: This work may cause significant delays and motorists are encouraged to take alternative routes such as 50 Street or 91 Street

EDMONTON, AB – June 4, 2019 – Starting on or around June 15, 2019, traffic on 66 Street, 75 Street, and the bridge across Whitemud Drive will be shifted to the east side of the road.

Both the westbound ramp and the eastbound ramp will be reduced to one lane. Left and right turns will be made from the straight through lanes.

This work is expected to last until the end of October.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • The westbound offramp from Whitemud Drive to 75th Street and the eastbound onramp from 75th Street to Whitemud Drive will each be reduced to one lane.
  • Pedestrian access will vary throughout this closure.

Alternate routes:

  • To avoid any potential delays, motorists can use eastbound onramps and westbound offramps for Whitemud Drive at 50th Street and 91st Street.

There will be noise associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. (City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600).

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
