Wagner Road between 75 Street and 80 Street – Lane Closure

EDMONTON, AB – May 8, 2017 – Starting on or around May 25, minor lane closures will affect traffic on Wagner Road between 75 Street and 80 Street. Lane closures and parking restrictions will take place during peak, off-peak, and evening hours.

Motorists travelling westbound on Wagner Road will have to shift lanes for construction on the elevated guideway near Davies Station.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Westbound lanes on Wagner Road between 75 Street and 80 Street will be narrowed. Motorists will need to shift lanes as instructed.
  • ETS Bus Stop 2163 will be closed, which affects Bus Route 80. Please check takeets.ca, and click on “Detours and Closures” for updates.
  • Pedestrians will only be able to walk along the north side of Wagner Road between Davies Road and 80 Street.

Alternate Routes:

  • To avoid any potential delays, please use McIntyre Road or Argyll Road as alternate routes.

There will be noise associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
