
Trail Closure – Louise McKinney Riverfront Park (Updated)
(Updated) Sept 28, 2022 – Beginning on or about October 10, 2022, crews will be working during the day to complete minor excavation and drainage installation in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park along the trail connecting Cameron Avenue and Tawatinâ Bridge. This work is expected to last until November 5, 2022.
To accommodate this work, the trail (marked in red on the map below) will be closed. The trails marked in green on the map will not be closed. The shared use path beneath the Tawatinâ bridge will remain open at all times.
There will be noise associated with this work from excavation equipment.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• At all times during this work, the shared use path (SUP) trail connecting Cameron Avenue and the Tawatinâ Bridge will be closed to trail users.
• The underslung SUP beneath the Tawatinâ Bridge will remain open at all times.
• Access from Cameron Avenue and the Tawatinâ Bridge will be via trails connecting to the sidewalk along Grierson Hill and via .Cameron Avenue (marked by the thick green line in the map below).
• There will be noise associated with this work from construction equipment.
During this time, please watch for, and follow, all pedestrian detour signs and direction of construction personnel and flag persons.
We ask for your understanding and patience as construction on the Valley Line Southeast LRT nears completion.
