Traffic Shift on 97 Street and 102 Avenue

Noise, Notice, Sidewalk, Vehicle

EDMONTON, AB – August 23, 2018 – Starting on or around August 29, 2018, traffic will be shifted to the west side of 97 Street at 102 Avenue. This shift is to accommodate sidewalk removals and replacements on the east side.

Pedestrian access to store fronts and emergency exits of the adjacent buildings will be maintained at all times. Pedestrians will be rerouted with wayfinding and detour signs.

Walkways, including temporary crosswalks, will be protected from construction activities with barricades and construction fencing.  Pedestrian detours will be updated via on-site signage as construction progresses.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
