Temporary Access Closure, 28 Avenue to Mill Woods Town Centre

EDMONTON, AB – January 17, 2019 – Starting on or about January 21, 2019, TransEd will be temporarily closing the access to Mill Woods Town Centre from 28 Avenue to accommodate construction for the Valley Line LRT. This access is expected to be reopened in fall of 2019.

During this closure, access to the Mill Woods Town Centre will be maintained via multiple points on 66 Street, 23 Avenue, and Hewes Way. Detour signs will be placed along 66 Street, 23 Avenue, and Hewes Way, as well as 28 Avenue, to direct customers and visitors to the alternate accesses.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Access to Mill Woods Town Centre via 28 Avenue will be temporarily closed
  • Detour signs will be placed along 66 Street, 23 Avenue, and Hewes Way, as well as 28 Avenue, to direct customers and visitors to the alternate accesses.
  • Pedestrian access will vary as work is performed.
  • Please visit https://www.edmonton.ca/ets/general-service-alerts.aspx for all ETS changes and updates

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
