EDMONTON, AB – July 9, 2018 – Starting on or about the evening of July 13, 2018, traffic at the intersection of 75 Street and Roper Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. This work will take place overnight between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and the following morning traffic will be driving in the new configuration.

The traffic lights will be down while they are moved to a new temporary intersection location. Edmonton Police will be directing traffic. Please note that right turns will still be permitted. 

There will be noise and flashing lights while this work is completed.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • The traffic lights at 75 Street and Roper Road will be off and Edmonton Police will be directing traffic.
  • Traffic at this intersection will be reduced to one lane in all directions.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction.
  • Please visit https://www.edmonton.ca/ets/general-service-alerts.aspx for all ETS changes and updates.

Alternate Route

  • Motorists can use 51 Avenue as an alternate route.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

There will be noise associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions.
