North Pier – Construction Notice

EDMONTON – January 25, 2017 – Today, the dismantling of the north pier of the Cloverdale Footbridge started in preparation for construction on the new bridge for the Valley Line LRT.

A jackhammer/hydraulic-breaker will be used to break up and dismantle the above-ground portion of the pier. This may create some noise disruption and possible vibration.

A noise baseline was determined yesterday, and a noise meter will be used to monitor noise coming from the north berm periodically.

In addition, crews will also be monitoring vibration levels.
