Minor Lane Closure, 85 Street and 90 Avenue

Noise, Notice

August 04, 2021 – Starting on or about August 09, 2021, crews will be performing paving activities on 85 Street and 90 Avenue. To accommodate this work, one southbound through lane and two northbound dedicated left-turn lanes on 83 Street and one southbound dedicated left turn lane on 85 Street will be closed during the nighttime for one week.

There will be noise associated with this work; specifically, the sound of heavy equipment (engine noises), backup alarms when necessary, and pavement grinding. In order to not interrupt traffic during the day, crews will have to perform this work during night hours. As much as possible, the noisiest work will be completed earlier in the night.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One southbound through lane and two northbound dedicated left-turn lanes on 83 Street and one southbound dedicated left turn lane on 85 Street will be closed during the nighttime.
• There will be day and overnight noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
