Minor Lane Closure, 101 Street and 102 Avenue

Noise, Notice

August 17, 2021 – Starting on or about August 23, 2021 crews will be performing curb works at the intersection of 101 Street and 102 Avenue. To accommodate this work, one northbound lane on 101 Street and one southbound lane on 101 Street will be closed overnight, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This work will last one week and occur during the nighttime only.

There will be noise associated with this work such as noise from saw cutting. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area. The noisiest works will be done earlier in the evening, where possible.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One northbound lane on 101 Street and one southbound lane on 101 Street will be closed overnight, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This work will last one week and occur during the nighttime only.
• There will be overnight noise associated with this work.
• The north-south crosswalks (east and west side of 101 Street) will be closed during this period. Pedestrians will be redirected to use either of the east-west crosswalks to be maintained at all times during construction period.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
