Major Lane Closure, 83 Street, between 76 Avenue and 82 Avenue
EDMONTON, AB – November 5, 2018 – Starting on or around November 12, 2018, there will be lanes closed on 83 Street, between 76 Avenue and 82 Avenue. One lane in each direction will be maintained.
Lanes on 76 Avenue, at the intersection of 83 Street and 76 Avenue, will also be closed. One lane in each direction will be maintained.
There will be multiple access closures along the east side of 83 Street, including 77 Avenue, 78 Avenue, 79 Avenue, 80 Avenue and 81 Avenue including alleys. The work will be done sequentially and crews will endeavor to maintain as much access as possible.
This traffic configuration will remain in place until Summer of 2019.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- 83 Street between 76 Avenue and 82 Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
- 76 Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
- Pedestrian access on 83 Street will be maintained on the east sidewalk.
Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
