
Louise McKinney Riverfront Park – Noise and Vibration
Edmonton – March 6, 2017 – This is to advise you that two activities in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park area will be taking place this month that may cause noise and/or vibration.
On or about Wednesday, March 8, crews will demolish the remaining Cloverdale Footbridge abutment on the north shore of the river. This work will start late next week and is expected to be completed by March 15. This activity will involve the use of jackhammers to remove the concrete, and will occur during normal daytime hours.
As well, the last of the sheet piles should be completed on the north shore by about March 22, at which point the activity moves to the south shore of the river.
On or about the fourth week of March, caisson installation work will commence on Grierson Hill. A follow-up notice with more details and a projected start date will be sent to you in advance of the work starting.
