Jasper Avenue Lane Closure

Noise, Notice, Vehicle

August 7, 2020 – Starting on or around August 10, 2020, TransEd will be closing the westbound curb lane of Jasper Avenue between 95 Street and 96 Street in order to complete sidewalk tie-ins.  This westbound lane is currently closed east of 95 Street and west of 97 Street for City of Edmonton construction works. 

This work will take place during peak, off-peak, and overnight hours and is expected to last six weeks. There will be noise associated with this work. The first part of the work will be the loudest while crews break through the concrete. As much as possible, this work will be completed during the day.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Westbound curb lane closure between 95 Street and 96 Street on Jasper Avenue.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained but no access into the construction zone.

Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
