Grey Nuns Stop Finishing Works

Update – This work will continue until July 24

July 07, 2021 – Starting on or about July 13, 2021, crews will be performing finishing works on the Grey Nuns Stop including concrete finishes. To accommodate this work, one northbound lane on the east side of 66 Street, just north of 31 Avenue, will be closed. This work is expected to last one week and will occur overnight (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.).

There will be noise associated with this work such as concrete pump trucks backing up, as well as concrete pumping and small machinery moving. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One northbound lane on the east side of 66 Street, just north of 31 Avenue, will be closed. This work is expected to last one week (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.).
• Flaggers will be on-site to assist with keeping traffic flowing safely.
• There will be overnight noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
