First Train Under Power on Valley Line LRT

Another Milestone! TransEd is pleased to announce the successful movement of the first train under power on the Valley Line.

 

Testing trains are currently traveling along 66 street under the careful operation of TransEd crews and train drivers. Train testing will continue along 66 Street, between 34 Avenue and 51 Avenue, until February 15.

FOR YOUR SAFETY:

  • Always stay alert while on the road. Although the trains testing might be a distraction, please be mindful of your surroundings and other road users.
  • Do not jaywalk. Only cross at marked intersections or when permitted by a flag person.
  • Overhead wires are electrified! Encountering live wires can result in serious injury/death. Do not fly kites, drones or remote-controlled planes near the wires.
