
Drainage Work on 51 Avenue & 75 Street
April 23, 2020 – Starting on or around April 30, crews will be performing drainage work at the intersection of 51 Avenue and 75 Street, overnight, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be two phases to this work.
During phase one, traffic will be maintained with one lane which will accommodate both westbound and eastbound traffic. Flaggers will be stationed on both ends to direct traffic at all times. This closure is expected to last for one week.
During phase two, expected to begin on or around May 6, one southbound lane on 75 Street, south of 51 Avenue, will be closed during night hours. This closure is expected to last for one week.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
Phase One:
- Flaggers will maintain a single lane to accommodate eastbound and westbound traffic.
- Work will occur overnight from 9:00p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- This work is expected to last one week.
Phase Two:
- One southbound lane will be closed overnight
- This work is expected to last one week.
- There will be noise associated with both phases of this work.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
