Access Closure on 86 Street and 95 Avenue
SECOND UPDATE: This work has been postponed until January 21, 2019.
FIRST UPDATE: This work will be starting on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
EDMONTON, AB – December 10, 2018 – Starting on or around December 14, 2018, access to 86 Street north of 95 Avenue will be closed. Motorists can use 87 Street or access via the alley off of 85 Street.
This closure is for drainage work and will take approximately one week.
There will be noise associated with the work. With drainage work, construction noise during the first couple of days is the loudest. Crews will have to break through the concrete in order to access the pipes underground. Once the first few days are over, and crews have broken through the concrete, the work is much quieter as crews will be working on the drainage.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- Access to 86 Street north of 95 Avenue will be closed for one week.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained on the south side of the avenue.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit (City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600).
