95 Avenue Night Work – Landscaping

Noise, Notice, Sidewalk, Vehicle

May 26, 2020 – Starting on or about June 2, 2020, crews will be continuing the landscaping along 95 Avenue. They will be starting on the north side of the road and working west to east in three sections. To accommodate this work, the westbound lane on 95 Avenue will be closed in three sections: 92 Street to Connors Road, 92 Street to 87 Street, 87 Street to 85 Street. North and south traffic will not be affected.

As this work requires lane closures, the majority of this work will be completed overnight between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The noisiest work will be completed earlier in the night, if possible. There will be backup beepers, flashing lights, and digging noises during this time.

This work will be ongoing until the end of July.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Overnight work on 95 Avenue.
  • Westbound lane on 95 Ave will be closed in three sections, working west to east.
  • There will be noise associated with this work, mainly backup beepers and digging.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
