85 Street Drainage Work

EDMONTON, AB – June 4, 2018 – This is a reminder that starting on or around June 5, 2018, residents on the west side of 85 Street will no longer have access to their service road as crews begin drainage work as part of construction on the future Valley Line LRT.

This work is expected to last until approximately the end of August 2018.

No parking signs will be placed in front of homes on the west side of 85 Street indicating that all vehicles will need to be moved.

There will be some noise associated with the work. Drainage work is loud for the first few days as crews must break through concrete in order to reach underground pipes. Once crews have broken through the concrete, the work is much quieter as they are working on the drainage system below ground.
