84 Avenue Access to Bonnie Doon Mall Closure
EDMONTON, AB – August 30, 2019 – Starting on or around September 3, 2019, the entrance to Bonnie Doon Mall at 84 Avenue will be closed for up to 5 weeks. This work will take place during day time hours (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.).
The work requiring this closure includes a combination of both drainage and paving work to complete this entrance. Please note that the attached map does not accurately reflect 83 Street in its current state.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- Closure of the access at 84 Avenue and 83 Street on the west side.
- Bonnie Doon mall is still accessible via 86 Avenue and 87 Avenue entrances.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Drainage work means that the first couple of days are going to be the loudest. Crews will have to break through the concrete in order to get to the pipes underground. Once the first couple of days are over and crews have broken through the concrete, the work is much quieter as crews will be working on the drainage underground.
During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
