83 Street Night Work – 82 Avenue to 76 Avenue
June 15, 2020 – Starting on or about June 20, 2020 crews will be pouring concrete and asphalt for track works on 83 Street from 82 Avenue to 76 Avenue. This work will take place overnight, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and is expected to last for six nights. To accommodate this work, the southbound lane will be closed to traffic between 82 Avenue and 76 Avenue.
There will be noise associated with this work such as concrete pump trucks backing up, as well as concrete pumping and small machinery moving. In order to not interrupt traffic during the day, crews will have to perform this work during night hours.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- Closure of the southbound lane on 83 Street from 82 Avenue to 76 Avenue.
- There will be overnight noise associated with this work primarily back up beepers, and concrete pumping.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
- Flaggers will be on hand to assist traffic.
During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
