83 Street Night Work
February 17, 2021 – Starting on or about February 23, 2021, crews will be performing drainage works on 83 Street overnight from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. from 69 Avenue to just north of 69A Avenue. This work is expected to last ten days.
There will be noise associated with this work such saw cutting and noise from a small hydrovac truck. In order to not disrupt traffic during the day, crews will perform this work during night hours.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One northbound through lane will be closed. Traffic will be maintained with one SB lane during nighttime hours (9:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• Northbound lane traffic will be directed to detour around work area.
• Pedestrians will be directed to use the crosswalk on 69A Avenue intersection.
• There will be noise associated with this work.
During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
