28 Avenue Lane Reduction

EDMONTON, AB – June 12, 2019 – Starting on or about June 26, 2019, traffic on 28 Avenue east of Youville Drive west/Hewes Way will be pushed to the north side of the road. There will be no street parking on the south side of 28 Avenue.

This work will last for approximately two months.  

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • 28 Avenue just east of Youville Drive west/Hewes Way will be shifted to the north.
  • Two lanes in each direction will be maintained.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

This requires 24-hour work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
