THIRD UPDATE: This work has been postponed to February 15, 2019.
SECOND UPDATE: This work is scheduled to begin on February 8, 2019.
UPDATE: There will only be one lane open in each direction for the duration of this work.
EDMONTON, AB – January 24, 2019 – Starting on or about January 31, 2019, there will be overnight work on 101 Street at 102 Avenue. This is preparatory drainage for future work.
There will be alternating lane closures during this time. Crews will begin on one side of the road and then once complete, they will move to the other side.
Please watch for and observe all construction signage and personnel.
This work is expected to last for approximately five nights.
There will be noise associated with the work. Drainage work is loud for the first few days as crews must break through concrete in order to reach underground pipes. Once crews have broken through the concrete, the work is much quieter as they are working on the drainage system below ground.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
