98 Avenue Span Lift
In summer, 2019, TransEd closed three downtown intersections – one at a time – to complete the installation of railbed, rail, and finish roads and sidewalks. Traffic was detoured so that TransEd could work in the intersections.
With 102 Avenue closed for construction, TransEd is able to tie the intersections to the road and rail on each block as they are completed. Each intersection took between four-six weeks, and each was finished ahead of its projected schedule.
Bach in the Subways is an international event started in 2010 in New York City subways. It takes place on Johann Bach’s birthday every year. To celebrate the construction of the Valley Line LRT, the celebration took place at Bonnie Doon mall.
