October 15, 2021 – Starting on October 15, 2021, crews will be pouring concrete on the sidewalk at the intersection of Argyll Road and 83 Street. To accommodate this work, one eastbound lane at the intersection of Argyll Road and 83 Street will be closed from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

There will be noise associated with this work, such as a concrete truck and gravel compaction.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One eastbound lane at the intersection of Argyll Road and 83 Street will be closed from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• Flaggers will be on-site to assist with traffic and pedestrian traffic.

August 25, 2021 – Starting on or about September 01, 2021, crews will be performing drainage and sidewalk repair activities on Cameron Avenue, west of 94 Street. To accommodate this work, motorist access on the eastbound lane of Cameron Avenue (west of 94 Avenue) will be closed for 3 days, traffic will be maintained with one westbound lane. Work will occur primarily during the daytime with occasional nightwork.

The pedestrian crosswalks on Cameron Avenue (West of 94 Avenue) will be closed for 2 weeks for construction. Pedestrians will be directed to use the temporary crosswalk.

There will be noise associated with this work such saw cutting and noise from a small hydrovac truck. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• Motorist access on the eastbound lane of Cameron Avenue (west of 94 Avenue) will be closed for 3 days, traffic will be maintained with one westbound lane.
• There will be day and overnight noise associated with this work.

August 09, 2021 – Starting on or about September 13, 2021, crews will be performing enhanced concrete crosswalk construction activities on 85 Street, from 92 Avenue to 93 Avenue. To accommodate this work, one through-lane will be closed intermittently on 85 Street (from 93 Avenue to 92 Avenue) during the nighttime, 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This work is expected to last 4-6 weeks.

Motorist traffic on 85 Street will be maintained with one through lane on 85 Street, accommodating southbound and northbound traffic. Flag persons will be on site to assist with traffic.

The work will begin with crews removing the existing roadway at the crosswalk. Crews will then perform concrete placement activities to install the new enhanced concrete crosswalk in multiple sections. There will be noise associated with this work as crews will have to saw cut and break through the existing roadway. Whenever possible, the noisiest work will be done early in the evening.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One through lane on 85 Street (from 90 Avenue to 95 Avenue) will be closed during the nighttime, 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Motorist traffic on 85 Street will be maintained with one through lane on 85 Street, accommodating southbound and northbound traffic. This work is expected to last 4-6 weeks.
• There will be overnight noise associated with this work.
• Flag persons will be on-site to assist with traffic
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

This work will occur during the daytime hours, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

There will be noise associated with this work such as beeping alarm noise from the hydrovac truck and saw-cutting. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One northbound lane on Connors Road and one northbound dedicated right-turn lane on Connors Road will be closed for three days. This work will occur during the daytime hours, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Flaggers will be on-site to assist traffic.
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• The south east-west pedestrian sidewalk on 95 Avenue (between Connors Road and 92 Street) to be closed during the construction period. Pedestrians will be directed to use the north sidewalk.

June 29, 2021 – Starting on or about June 30, 2021, crews will be performing concrete barrier construction works on both sides of Connors Hill. To accommodate this work, one westbound lane on Connors Road, from Muttart Service Road to Cloverdale Hill, will be closed. The closure will occur on June 30, July 1, July 5, July 6, July 7, and July 8. This work will occur during the daytime hours only, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On July 1, the closure will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate Canada Day celebrations.

There will be noise associated with this work such as concrete pump trucks backing up, as well as concrete pumping and small machinery moving. There will also be one-time noise from saw cutting. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One westbound lane on Connors Road, from Muttart Service Road to Cloverdale Hill, will be closed. The closure will occur during the daytime from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To accommodate this work, the sidewalk on the northside of Jasper Avenue, from 95 Street to 96 Street will be closed for 4-week duration of work. Pedestrians will be directed to use the sidewalk on the southside of Jasper Avenue.

There will not be any lane closures with this work. Work will occur during the daytime hours only (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.). There will be noise associated with this work such as saw cutting.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• The northside of Jasper Avenue, from 95 Street to 96 Street will be closed for 4-week duration of work Pedestrians will be directed to use the sidewalk on the south side of Jasper Avenue.
• Directional signage will be provided
• There will be noise associated with this work.

October 27, 2020 – On or about November 15, 2020, TransEd will be shifting traffic at the intersection of 90 Avenue and 83/85 Street.  This work will occur during peak, off-peak, and overnight hours and is expected to last five weeks.  Work will primarily occur during the day (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) however, some of this work will need to be accomplished at night. Work that causes more noise and vibrations will be completed during daytime hours.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

On 90 Avenue, East of 83/85 Street:

  • One westbound through lane will remain open.
  • One westbound dedicated left turn lane will remain open.
  • One eastbound through lane will remain open.
  • One eastbound and one westbound through lane will be closed.

On 83 Street, South of 90 Avenue

  • One northbound through lane will remain open.
  • One northbound dedicated left turn lane will remain open.
  • One southbound through lane will remain open.
  • One northbound dedicated left turn lane will be closed.

UPDATE:  November 5, 2020 – This work has been postponed until November 20 – 23, 2020.

October 16, 2020 – Starting on or around November 6, crews will be replacing an elevated span on the Valley Line LRT.  To accommodate this work, 75 Street will be closed between Wagner Road and McIntyre Road from 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 6 and reopen at 6:00 a.m. Monday, November 9.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Full closure of 75 Street between Wagner Road and McIntyre Road.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Should the activities not be completed over this weekend, for reasons including but not limited to inclement weather, the weekend of November 13 will serve as the contingency date.

To accommodate this work, a portion of this sidewalk will be closed, however pedestrian access will be maintained. This closure will take place during peak, off-peak, and overnight hours and is expected to last three weeks.

This work will primarily occur during the day (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) however, some of this work will need to be accomplished at night. Work that generally creates the most noise and vibrations will be completed during daytime hours.
Pedestrians can use the west side of 83 Street to walk north and south during this time. Crosswalks are located at 84 Avenue and 86 Avenue.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• Sidewalk removals on the east side of 83 Street between 84 Avenue and 86 Avenue.
• There will be noise associated with this work, specifically the breaking of concrete. As much as possible, the noisiest work will be done earlier in the night or during the day.

There will be noise associated with this work. The first part of the work will be the loudest while crews break through and remove the concrete.  This portion of the project will be completed during daytime hours. The remainder of the work will take place during overnight hours (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)  This work is expected to last two weeks.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Westbound turning lane closure on 95 Street at Jasper Avenue, however, turns will still be permitted.
  • There will be noise associated with this work.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

September 22, 2020 – Starting on or around September 29, crews will be removing and rebuilding the sidewalk and the driveway access along the east side of 83 Street between 83 Avenue and 84 Avenue.

This work will take place overnight between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and will last for approximately three weeks. There will be noise associated with this work as crews will have to saw cut and break through the existing concrete. As much as possible, the noisiest work will be completed earlier in the night or during the day.

Pedestrians can use the west side of 83 Street to walk north and south during this time. Crosswalks are located at 82 Avenue and 84 Avenue.

The driveway accesses will be done half at a time to maintain vehicle access to the residents.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Sidewalk removals on the east side of 83 Street between 83 Avenue and 84 Avenue.
  • There will be noise associated with this work, specifically the breaking of concrete. As much as possible, the noisiest work will be done earlier in the night or during the day.

There will be noise associated with this work as crews will have to break through the asphalt in order to replace it.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • The crosswalk on the east side of 103 Street at 102 Avenue will be temporarily closed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained on the west side of 103 Street.
  • There will be noise associated with this work, specifically the breaking of asphalt.
