Damage or Injury Claim

TransEd makes every effort to minimize construction impacts on nearby properties and communities. Should you suffer an injury or property damage that you believe occurred as a result of work related to the LRT construction, TransEd has a process in place.

  • For all claims where you feel that TransEd is responsible for your property damage and/or injury please complete TransEd’s Statement of Damage or Injury Claim Form.

It is important to outline why you believe that TransEd is responsible for your loss and provide proof of your damages (e.g before and after photos of the damage or incident location).  The completion of the form represents your signed declaration that the claim occurred in the manner stated and is of the amount claimed.

Contact your insurer to see if coverage may exist under your insurance policy for the type of claim you are making against TransEd. If you have coverage and should your insurer feel that TransEd is responsible for your damages, they may try to recover their claim payment from TransEd after they make a payment to you.

  • If you cannot access the online Statement of Damage or Injury Claim Form  you may also provide details of your claim by calling the Claims Hotline 800-374-6812 and the appropriate form will be mailed to you for completion.  This extra step may delay the claims process but is provided to you should you prefer to deal by phone.
