July 20, 2021 – Starting on or about July 28, 2021, crews will be performing finishing works on the Avonmore Stop including concrete finishes. To accommodate this work, the southbound lane on 83 Street from 73 Avenue to 76 Avenue will be closed to motorists overnight (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) for three consecutive nights.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• Southbound lane on 83 Street from 73 Avenue to 76 Avenue will be closed for three consecutive nights.
• Traffic will be detoured.
• There will be overnight noise from hand tools.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

June 25, 2021 – Starting on or about June 29, 2021, crews will be performing final paving activities on 85 Street, from 90 Avenue to 95 Avenue. To accommodate this work, one northbound on 85 Street will be closed during nighttime hours. This work will last two nights and will occur during the nighttime hours only (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.).

There will be noise associated with this work. Specifically, the sound of heavy equipment (engine noises), back up alarms when necessary, and pavement grinding. In order to not interrupt traffic during the day, crews will have to perform this work during night hours. As much as possible, the noisiest work will be completed earlier in the night.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One northbound lane on 85 Street will be closed for two nights. This work will occur during the nighttime, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 pa.m.
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

June 14, 2021 – Starting on or about June 18, 2021, crews will begin pouring concrete for the retaining wall on the west side of 83 Street between 69 Avenue and Argyll Road. To accommodate this work, one southbound lane of 83 Street will be closed between 69 Avenue and Argyll Road. This work will occur overnight, from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. Four additional one-night closures will be needed to complete this work, occurring June 24, July 1, July 8, and July 15.

There will be noise associated with this work such as concrete pump trucks backing up, as well as concrete pumping and small machinery moving. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• Overnight work on 83 Street between 69 Avenue and Argyll Road.
• Closure of one southbound lane on 83 Street between 69 Avenue and Argyll Road.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

This work will take approximately two days. Work will occur during the daytime hours only, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

In the case that the weather is not permitting on the allocated day, the spray will be rescheduled to Wednesday, June 23.

Although not generally harmful to people and pets, please avoid walking in the area that has been sprayed until it has dried (temperature and humidity will impact dry time).

TransEd has an Integrated Pest Management Plan with the goal to minimize the use of pesticides and to use them as a last resort after mechanical and other measures have been used or if deemed required by the Alberta Weed Control Act. All herbicide applications are reviewed by the City of Edmonton before spraying commences and notices are sent to the public. All applications must follow provincial and federal regulations and must utilize a licensed applicator to do so. Areas with exemptions are not sprayed.

To accommodate this work, one lane on 83 Street between 69 Avenue and Argyll Road will be closed during the nighttime hours (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). This work will occur on the nights of May 31 to June 10.

May 13, 2021 – Starting on or about June 2, 2021, crews will be performing curb and gutter works and paving activities on 90 Avenue, east of 83 Street. Curb and gutter works will include saw-cutting, removal of asphalt, and finishing of concrete curbs. To accommodate this work, one westbound lane on 90 Avenue will be closed at all times (peak, off-peak, and nighttime hours) for 8 days.

This work is one of two phases: the supporting work will include continuing curb and gutter works and paving activities. This work will include a minor lane closure on Connors Road and closure of a southbound dedicated left turn lane on 85 Street. Combined work of both phases will last 4 weeks.

There will be noise associated with this work such as beeping alarm noise from the hydrovac truck and saw-cutting. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One westbound lane on 90 Avenue will be closed at all times (peak, off-peak, and nighttime hours) Flaggers will be on-site to assist with keeping traffic flowing safely.
