Whitemud Westbound Offramp and Eastbound Onramp Lane Closure at 75 Street

UPDATE: These dates have been moved to July 5, 6, 7 and 11, 12, 13.

EDMONTON, AB – June 19, 2019 – Starting on or around July 5, 2019, the westbound offramp and the eastbound onramp at Whitemud Drive and 75 Street will both be closed overnight (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.).

Motorists can use 50 Street and 91 Street exits during this time.

This closure will occur on the nights of July 5, 6, and 7 and again on July 12, 13, and 14.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • The westbound offramp from Whitemud Drive to 75 Street and the eastbound onramp from 75 Street to Whitemud Drive will be closed overnight.
  • Pedestrian access will vary throughout this closure.

Alternate routes:

  • To avoid any potential delays, motorists can use eastbound onramps and westbound offramps for Whitemud Drive at 50 Street and 91 Street.

There will be noise associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. (City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600).

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
