Bonnie Doon Traffic Circle Work
EDMONTON, AB – November 13, 2018 – Starting on or about November 19, 2018, TransEd crews will be closing the inside lane in the Bonnie Doon traffic circle during night time hours (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). During daytime hours the traffic circle will revert to two lanes as normal.
This closure will last for approximately two weeks.
This work is to accommodate drainage work in the area. There will be noise associated with the work. Drainage work means that the first couple of days of work are going to be the loudest. Crews will have to break through the ground in order to access the pipes underground.
To accommodate this work the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- One lane in the Bonnie Doon traffic circle will be closed overnight.
- During the day, there will be two lanes of traffic inside the circle.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
- Please visit https://www.edmonton.ca/ets/general-service-alerts.aspx for all ETS changes and updates.
There will be noise and some vibration associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. (City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600).
TransEd crews will make every effort to reduce the noise associated with this work.
