Tree Pruning in the River Valley
November 8, 2019 – Starting on or about November 13, 2019, TransEd will be pruning the dead branches off several trees from the area indicated on the map enclosed in order to accommodate the lifting of the final span over 98 Avenue. (Please note, the map does not reflect the current status of the river valley, as trees have previously been removed in this area.)
All trees are pruned by a professional arborist. These branches were left in place for as long as possible but they need to be pruned to facilitate construction of the Valley Line LRT.
Work will occur during daytime hours and removals will only take a couple of hours to complete.
With respect to tree pruning:
- TransEd is committed to pruning as little of the trees as possible.
- TransEd is aware of the residences in the area and will reduce noise as best possible.
- All trees will be pruned by a professional arborist.
