Traffic Change on 100 Street and Rice Howard Way

Notice, Vehicle

EDMONTON, AB – January 4, 2018 – Starting on or around January 8, 102 Avenue between 96 Street and 103 Street will be fully closed to on-street traffic. This closure is necessary to prepare and construct the LRT line that will run along 102 Avenue. This closure will remain in effect until the end of project duration in 2020.

As a result of the 102 Avenue closure, some citizens expressed concern for access to Rice Howard Way at 100 Street, which currently has a no left turn restriction for motorists travelling northbound.

This no left turn restriction will be temporarily removed so drivers can now turn left from 100 Street onto Rice Howard Way.

The City of Edmonton will monitor the impact that this traffic change has and further changes may be required in future.

The construction zone will be fenced for your safety. Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

We thank you for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
