Sidewalk Closure on 102 Avenue between 100 Street and 100A Street

Noise, Notice, Sidewalk

April 30, 2020 – Starting on or around May 11, 2020, TransEd crews will be working on the sidewalk on the south side of 102 Avenue between 100 Street and 100A Street.

The closure will extend from 100A Street to approximately the entrance to the Telus office.

This work is to remove and replace the existing sidewalk. There will be noise associated with this work as crews will have to saw cut and break through the existing concrete. As much as possible, the noisiest work will occur during the day (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.). This work is expected to last approximately 10 days.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • The sidewalk on the south side of 102 Avenue between 100 A Street and 100 Street will be temporarily closed.
  • There will be noise associated with this work, specifically the breaking of concrete. As much as possible, the loudest work will be limited to day time hours.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained on the north side of 102 Avenue.

Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
