River Valley Supplementary Fall Weed Control
September 1, 2020 – Starting on or about September 8, 2020, crews will be applying the weed spray Trillion (a broad leaf herbicide used to treat noxious weeds) in the area adjacent to construction in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park and Henrietta Muir Edwards Park.
In order to prevent accidental contamination, there will be no herbicide sprayed within 30m of the North Saskatchewan River. Noxious weeds in that area will be controlled using mechanical measures.
Although not generally harmful to people and pets, please avoid walking in the area that has been sprayed until it has dried (temperature and humidity will impact dry time).
