May 19, 2020 – Starting on or around May 28, 2020, TransEd will be pulling rail on the east side of the road at 75 Street and Roper Road. Traffic on 75 Street will be unaffected. 75 Street will not be accessible via westbound traffic on Roper Road.

This work will take place over four nights, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • East/west traffic will be closed on Roper Road at 75 Street.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.
  • There will be noise and flashing lights while this work is completed.

Alternate routes:

  • To avoid any potential delays, motorists can use 51 Avenue to travel east/west.

There will be noise associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. (City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600).

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
