Partial Road Closure, 36a Avenue Westbound

Noise, Notice

June 20, 2023 – On Saturday June 24, 2023, crews will be working during the day along 36a Avenue. Crews will be using a mobile crane be install new pre-cast concrete noise wall panels damaged in a vehicle accident. This work is expected to take 1 day. To accommodate this work, the westbound lane and right turn lane of 36a Avenue from 64 Street to 66 Street will be closed from 7:00am to 7:00pm. The 36a Avenue eastbound lane and access from 66 Street will remain open. The north sidewalk will be closed. Pedestrians will need to use the south sidewalk and crosswalk. The sidewalk adjacent to the noise wall on the north side of 36a Avenue will also be closed.    

Residents in the area will need to use Woodvale road and 38 Avenue to exit the neighborhood.

There will be noise associated with this work from construction equipment. 

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

• During the day, from 7:00am to 7:00pm, the two westbound lane of 36a Avenue just east of 66 Street will be closed.

• There will be noise associated with this work.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel and flag persons.
