Overnight Work on Hewes Way at 28 Ave

EDMONTON, AB – May 4, 2020 – On or about May 11, crews will be doing drainage work on 28 Avenue near the Youville Drive/Hewes Way intersection. Youville Drive/Hewes Way will be maintained with one lane only to accommodate north/south traffic. Flaggers will be present on site.  

This work is expected to last for approximately three nights and will occur between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. There will be hydrovacing and flashing lights while this work is completed.

Access to businesses on the south side of 28 Avenue will be maintained via the back parking lot.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Youville Drive/Hewes Way will be reduced to one lane only overnight.
  • Two way traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
  • There will be hydrovacing and flashing lights while this work is completed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and will obtain an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
