Overnight Lane Closure on Connors Road

UPDATE:  July 10, 2020 – This work has been postponed.

June 29, 2020 – Beginning on or around July 6, 2020, crews will be installing the handrails on the new Kâhasinîskâk Pedestrian Bridge over Connors Road.  This work will occur overnight from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and is expected to last two weeks, excluding Sundays. To accommodate this work, crews will need to close one outside lane on Connors Road between Cloverdale Road and the Muttart Service Road each week.

During the first week, the outside southbound lane on Connors Road will be closed.  During the second week, the outside northbound lane on Connors Road will be closed.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • During the first week, the outside southbound lane on Connors Road between Cloverdale Road and the Muttart Service Road will be closed.
  • During the second week, the outside northbound lane on Connors Road between Cloverdale Road and the Muttart Service Road will be closed.
  • Overnight work on Connors Road (9:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)
  • Two-way traffic will be maintained
  • This work is not expected to be loud, however, you may hear the occasional banging of hammers and steel and the humming of equipment from the crane and or light plant.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
