Night Time Work on 28 Avenue

Noise, Notice, Sidewalk, Vehicle

April 24, 2020 – On or about May 1, crews will be working in the westbound lane on 28 Avenue to install conduits underneath the road. To accommodate this work, the westbound lane will be closed and two way traffic will be maintained with flaggers.

This work is expected to last for approximately one night and occur between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. There will be hydrovacing and flashing lights while this work is completed.

 To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • The westbound lane on 28 Avenue between 66 Street and the Tim Horton’s entrance, west of Youville Drive will be closed.
  • Two way traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
  • There will be hydrovacing and flashing lights while this work is completed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and will obtain an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
