
Night Time Closures at 95 Avenue and 85 Street
UPDATE: June 22 – This work has been postponed until June 29.
May 21, 2020 – On or about May 29, 2020, TransEd will be transporting and installing rail at the intersection of 95 Avenue and 85 Street. This closure will be in effect overnight between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. This work is expected to last approximately one week.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
95 Avenue West of 85 Street
- Traffic will be maintained with one eastbound lane and one westbound lane.
- No through eastbound access will be permitted across 85 Street.
- Only right turns southbound onto 85 Street will be permitted
- Pedestrians will have to cross 95 Avenue at 87 Street.
95 Avenue East of 85 Street
- Traffic will be maintained with one eastbound lane and one westbound lane.
- No through westbound access will be permitted across 85 Street.
- No westbound left turns southbound onto 85 Street will be permitted
85 Street North of 95 Avenue
- Traffic will be maintained with one northbound lane and one southbound lane.
- No through southbound access will be permitted across 95 Avenue.
- Only westbound and eastbound turns onto 95 Avenue will be permitted
- There will be noise and flashing lights while this work is completed.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained at 95 Avenue at 87 Street.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and will obtain an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
