Night-Time Closure at 93 Avenue and 85 Street

Noise, Notice, Vehicle

August 6, 2020 – On or about August 13, 2020, TransEd will be pouring icosit at 93 Avenue and 85 Street. Icosit is a flexible 2-part polyurethane polymer resin grout that is designed as a vibration absorbing, load-bearing, flexible grout for fixing grooved or T–rails onto concrete slabs, steel bridge decks and tunnel invert slabs.  To accommodate this work, eastbound access to 93 Avenue from 85 Street will be closed overnight between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. for one night.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • 93 Avenue will be inaccessible from 85 Street eastbound
  • No through traffic will be allowed during nighttime hours.
  • There will be noise and flashing lights while this work is completed.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and will obtain an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
