
Minor Lane Closure, Whitemud Drive Westbound Off-ramp (Updated)
(Updated) June 14, 2022 – On or about June 14th and 21st, 2022 crews will be returning to work overnight on the LRT tracks crossing the westbound Whitemud Drive off-ramp at 66 Street/75 Street. Motorists can access 66 Street/75 Street using 50th Street or 91st Street off-ramps. Crews will also be working on the eastbound Whitemud Drive on-ramp at 66 Street/75 Street. Motorists can access Whitemud Drive using 38 Avenue or Roper Road to connect to 50th Street or 91st Street connection to Whitemud Drive. This work is expected to last for one week.
There will be minimal noise associated with this work from construction vehicles and portable generators. In order to not interrupt traffic during the day, crews will perform this work during night hours.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- Whitemud Drive westbound off-ramp and eastbound on-ramp at 66Street/75Street will be closed overnight beginning June 14, 2022 from approximately 9:00pm through 6:00am. This overnight closure will be in place for about 7 nights.
- There will be noise associated with this work.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
