Minor Lane Closure, 98 Avenue

Noise, Notice

May 18, 2021 – Starting on or about May 26, 2021, crews will be performing concrete finishes on the pedestrian bridge over 98 Avenue. To accommodate this work, there will be intermittent lane closures on 98 Avenue and vehicle traffic will be shifted accordingly. This work will occur during the nighttime hours only (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) and is expected to last three nights.

There will be noise associated with this work such as backup alarms from the beacon lights. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• There will be intermittent lane closures on 98 Avenue during the nighttime hours only (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). Vehicle traffic will be shifted accordingly.
• Flaggers will be on-site to assist with keeping traffic flowing safely.
• There will be overnight noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
