
Minor Lane Closure, 83 Street (69 Avenue to Argyll Road)
May 19, 2021 – Starting on or about May 31, 2021 crews will be raising the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) cables on 83 Street. The OCS cables will transmit electrical energy to the trains. To accommodate this work, one lane on 83 Street between 69 Avenue and Argyll Road will be closed during the nighttime hours (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). This work will occur on the nights of May 31 to June 10.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One lane on 83 Street, between 69 Avenue and Argyll road, will be closed during the nighttime hours (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). This work will occur on the nights of May 31 to June 10.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.
• Flaggers will be on hand to assist traffic.
During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
