(Updated) June 8, 2023 – Beginning on or about June 14, 2023, for 3 days TransEd will be working during the day on 82 Avenue in the eastbound right lane to replace a small portion of concrete crosswalk and a streetlight at 83 Street. The west pedestrian crosswalk will be closed. Pedestrian access to the north, south and east crosswalks will remain open.
To accommodate this work, one of the two eastbound lanes of 82 Avenue at 83 Street will be closed for two days. While the concrete cures, a steel plate will be installed for up to an additional week which will allow the closed lane to reopen.
There will be noise associated with this work to saw cut and remove the concrete and replace with new coloured concrete.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One of the two eastbound lanes of 82 Avenue at 83 Street will be closed on June 14 for three days
• The west pedestrian crosswalk will also be closed.
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• Flaggers may be on hand to direct traffic.
• A steel road plate will cover the new concrete for about 1 week.
During this time, please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
