Minor Lane Closure, 31 Avenue and 66 Street

Noise, Notice

April 28, 2021 – Starting on or about May 05, 2021 crews will be performing drainage works at the intersection of 31 Avenue and 66 Street. Traffic will be maintained with one northbound lane and one southbound lane on 66 Street remaining open to motorists. This work is expected to last for seven consecutive days and nights.

There will be day and overnight noise associated with this work such as saw cutting and noise from a small hydrovac truck. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One northbound and one southbound lane on 66 Street will be open to motorists
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• At least three of four pedestrian crosswalks will be maintained at all times during construction period. One of the two sidewalks on 31 Avenue (west of 66 St) will be interchanged depending on construction activities.
• Flaggers will be on hand to assist traffic.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
