Minor Lane Closure, 28 Avenue Eastbound
May 31, 2023 – Beginning on or about June 7, 2023, crews will be working during the day and night along 28 Avenue east of 66 Street. Crews and equipment will be installing a new storm water drainage catch basin. This work is expected to take 2 weeks.
To accommodate this work, one of the two 28 Avenue eastbound lanes will be closed. The right turn lane will also be partially closed/shortened. Right turns will remain permitted at the parking lot access to Mill Woods Town Centre and other nearby businesses. There will be noise associated with this work from construction equipment. Pedestrian access along the adjacent sidewalks will remain open.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One of the two eastbound lanes of 28 Avenue will be closed.
• The 28 Avenue eastbound right turn lane will be partially closed/shortened.
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access along the adjacent sidewalks will remain open.
During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours if needed. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
