Minor Lane Closure, 28 Avenue and Hewes Way
July 15, 2021 – Starting on or about July 21, 2021, crews will be performing paving activities at the intersection of 28 Avenue and Hewes Way. To accommodate this work, a lane in each direction on 28 Avenue will be closed, with one lane in each direction remaining open. The duration of this work is one night, from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am.
There will be noise associated with this work; specifically, the sound of heavy equipment (engine noises), back up alarms when necessary, and pavement grinding. In order to not interrupt traffic during the day, crews will have to perform this work during night hours. As much as possible, the noisiest work will be completed earlier in the night.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• A lane in each direction on 28 Avenue will be closed, with one lane in each direction remaining open. This work will last for one night, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained. At least three of four crosswalks will always be maintained at the intersection.
During this time, please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
