
Major Lane Closure, 98 Avenue
October 6, 2022 – Beginning on October 7, 2022, until about January 2023, TransEd will be working intermittently on 98 Avenue west of 96a Street. This is to complete repairs to the concrete piers supporting the elevated tracks over 98 Avenue. To accommodate this work, one of the two 98 Avenue westbound lanes will be closed west of 96a Street for about 100m when work is occurring. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the south side of 98 Avenue.
There will be noise associated with this work from equipment and concrete repair activities.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- One of the two 98 Avenue westbound lanes will be closed intermittently west of 96a Street for about 100m from October 6 to about January 2023.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained on the south side of 98 Avenue.
- There will be noise associated with this work.
- Flag persons will be on hand to direct pedestrians and traffic as needed.
During this time, please watch for, and follow, all traffic and pedestrian detours and direction of construction personnel.
