Major Lane Closure, 90 Avenue

Noise, Notice

May 13, 2021 – Starting on or about June 2, 2021, crews will be performing curb and gutter works and paving activities on 90 Avenue, east of 83 Street. Curb and gutter works will include saw-cutting, removal of asphalt, and finishing of concrete curbs. To accommodate this work, one westbound lane on 90 Avenue will be closed at all times (peak, off-peak, and nighttime hours) for 8 days.

This work is one of two phases: the supporting work will include continuing curb and gutter works and paving activities. This work will include a minor lane closure on Connors Road and closure of a southbound dedicated left turn lane on 85 Street. Combined work of both phases will last 4 weeks.

There will be noise associated with this work such as beeping alarm noise from the hydrovac truck and saw-cutting. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One westbound lane on 90 Avenue will be closed at all times (peak, off-peak, and nighttime hours) Flaggers will be on-site to assist with keeping traffic flowing safely.
• There will be day and overnight noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
